All-in-one navigation app Savvy Navvy has been crowned ‘Marine Business of the Year’ at the British Marine Trades Association Awards ceremony this week.
Our Founder & CEO, Jelte Liebrand picked up the prestigious industry award in front of hundreds of leading industry peers from UK leisure marine association British Marine at the Grand in Southampton on Monday (12th June).
“Being selected from more than 350 entries and to get the recognition of the industry as a whole is amazing. It’s been a big year for us surpassing 1,000,000 downloads and getting industry recognition the same week as the next generation Savvy Navvy is rolling out is incredible,” says Jelte.
The British Marine Trades Association Chairman Paul Martin described Savvy Navvy as a ‘popular and growing business’, which has received ‘glowing nominations from industry peers’ stating that the ‘fun, innovative and trustworthy company’ have ‘developed a successful Google Maps for sailors’.
The annual British Marine Trades Association award dinner recognises and celebrates successes in the UK leisure marine industry and is held by British Marine, the trade association for the UK leisure, superyacht and small commercial marine industry.
