Say hello to the biggest wave pool in the world where they make all kinds of different waves in order to test scale model ships before the real ones go out into the open ocean. At 360 x 240 feet and hosts one of the largest free-standing domes in the world. Cool huh?
They even have 265 different wavemakers. And you thought your local swimming pool was cool!

Remember Ian? You may have heard us shouting about this adventure sailor because he used savvy nay to cross-check his traditional nav whilst practising for the Golden Globe Race.
This 52-year-old sailor from Shropshire, England, initially wanted to participate in the 2018
Golden Globe Race, but could not spare the time from his family and his work. But this year he achieved his goal and set off in the 2022 edition of this unique race.
Here Yachting Monthly’s Katy Stickland features an interview with Ian before he left onboard his boat Puffin.
At the time of writing this, Ian was 6th in the fleet.

French mobility start-up SeaBubbles unveiled their life-size version of the SeaBubble, an electric flying boat powered by hydrogen, at the recent Cannes Yachting Festival. Committed to overcoming environmental issues in the field of nautical mobility, SeaBubbles have designed a zero-wave, zero-noise, zero-emission navigation experience for passenger transport.
Their aim is to define a new generation of boats, which are designed to offer an unprecedented, futuristic, nautical experience while preserving the natural ecosystem.

Non-profit conservation group Ocean Crusaders will launch 'J-Bird' in the 77th edition of the world-famous race.
Massive diesel engines power household names like Wild Oats and Black Jack, but Ocean Crusader's co-founder, and J-Bird co-skipper, Ian Thomson, wants to show that isn't necessary.
"We just want to prove that we don't need fossil fuels to go sailing."
